How does the CLAT Exam Pattern help in preparing for CLAT Exam?

CLAT

The CLAT exam pattern serves as a guide for candidates. It aids in the candidate’s exam familiarisation. Does it respond to inquiries like How long will the CLAT 2023 exam last? How many questions will there be in total on the test? There are several questions about the exam’s structure, including how many sections there are. The consortium makes all these exam-related specifics public via a formal announcement. CLAT 2023’s formal notification has not yet been made public. The notice is posted on the consortium’s website, https://consortiumofnlus.ac.in/, where candidates can access it.

A nationwide exam will be conducted for CLAT 2023. It is a standardised and centralised test that determines whether an applicant has a propensity for studying law. The CLAT 2023 exam is being held several months ahead of schedule this year. Every year, it typically takes place in May. However, this year’s exam will be held on December 18, 2022. The exam date was moved to minimise conflicts with the candidates’ board exams. However, the most recent CLAT exam was conducted according to plan. As a result, CLAT was administered twice in 2022. The dates for CLAT 2022 and CLAT 2023 are June 19, 2022, and December 18, 2022.

CLAT Syllabus 2023

The Consortium of NLUs does not expressly mandate a syllabus. As a result, it could be challenging for the students to identify each exam section’s key themes and topics. A syllabus for the CLAT exam can only be created through an analysis of previous years’ papers. As a result, our team of academicians and specialists created a syllabus using the exams from past years as a guide. Below, we’ve covered the subjects covered in each portion of CLAT 2023.

English Language syllabus

This section aims to test the students’ knowledge of grammar, reading comprehension, and other English language concepts. The linguistic proficiency of the candidates is the main concern. Each passage in this section will be 450 words long. It asks questions about the following subjects:

Articles, Prepositions, and Tenses Modals, Concord (Subject-Verb Agreement), Verbs – Their Formation and Usage, Active & Passive Voice, identifying sentence grammar mistakes.

Legal Aptitude Syllabus

It won’t be simple to point toward all the potential themes because this section will evaluate the candidates’ overall legal acumen. This section’s extensive syllabus cannot be condensed into a few topics. Therefore, the candidate needs to read the newspaper routinely. Legal principles should be well understood by the applicants. However, the following are a few of the crucial subjects covered in this section:

Legal jargon, maxims, the Indian Constitution, torts, criminal law, famous rulings, reading the news, and comprehension of legal ideas.

Logical Reasoning Syllabus

We will provide students passages in the logical reasoning portion that are between 300 and 400 words long to have them think critically and analyse the paragraph appropriately. The applicants’ analytical thinking skills, ability to connect the ideas in a text, and other skills will be tested in this portion. This section’s key topics include the following:

Series completion includes analogies, blood relationships, puzzle tests, syllogisms, premises and conclusions, cause and effect relationships, and course of action.

Mathematics Syllabus (Quantitative Aptitude)

This part will most likely include 13–17 questions covering a range of subjects to assess the candidate’s knowledge of and understanding of these themes of quantitative approaches. Following subjects are cover in this section.

Statistics, basic algebra, average, percentage, ratio and proportion, time and distance, volume and surface area Pie Chart, Tabular Diagram, Line Graph, Bar Diagram, and Bar Graph.
